Lee’s Summit is home to our global cell research and development center. It is undeniably one of the world’s most technologically advanced cell laboratories. Not only do we utilize this facility to bring cutting edge energy storage solutions to our customers, it lets us do it faster than anyone else in the industry. Lee’s Summit also features a large capacity for testing and analyzing R&D prototypes, samples, and actual finished products.
This state-of-the-art facility utilizes a dry room exceeding 250 square feet, a pilot-scale coating line and advanced processes in lithium-ion cell preparation. The primary industry focus of our Lee’s Summit facility is producing battery cells and packs for defense applications.
